Put five people into a desk-concert performance. Choose one photo for each position.
The demo shows the full clip. The first 15 seconds guide the generated video; results can vary.
The Tiny Desk Outstanding AI trend puts a new cast into a desk-concert performance. Instead of filming a band, people use photos to place friends, coworkers or other unexpected groups into a familiar music clip. The contrast between the chosen cast and the energetic performance is part of the joke.
The format draws on Charlie Wilson’s 2023 NPR Tiny Desk concert, which included The Gap Band’s “Outstanding.” An AI remake featuring college football coaches circulated on TikTok, followed by versions with other casts. Those edits are AI-made; they are not recordings of the people actually performing at NPR. EaseGen is independent and is not affiliated with NPR, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band.
The camera moves between the group and individual performers. On EaseGen, the supplied clip guides the scene and performance, while your photos provide the cast.
Pick one clear image for each person. A face that is visible and evenly lit gives the video model more detail to work with. Only use photos you have permission to use.
Add the first three people from left to right in the opening group shot. Use the fourth and fifth upload slots for the people who appear later. Check each slot before continuing.
The reference video and performance direction are already included. Choose a resolution, sign in, and review the credit amount shown on the Generate button. The video is fixed at 15 seconds.
Generate the video, then check the cast, faces, movements and sound. Download the result when you are happy with it. Another attempt uses credits and may produce a different result.
The first three slots correspond to the people on the viewer’s left, center and right in the first three-person shot. The fourth photo is for the person who appears after that group shot; the fifth is for the person who appears last in the reference. These labels describe the intended assignments, not a guarantee that every generated frame will preserve them.
Use a separate photo for each position rather than a group picture. If you want a particular person in a particular shot, check the uploaded thumbnail against the slot label. Clothing and hairstyles in the photos also guide each person’s appearance, although the finished video can change details or mix identities.
The page’s demo shows the full reference clip, about 19 seconds long. The generator uses its first 15 seconds as a reference, so the ending of the demo is not included in the generation reference. The generated video is fixed at 15 seconds.
The reference guides the room, performance and camera, but it does not guarantee an exact copy of every cut, gesture or facial expression. Review the generated clip before sharing it, especially if a specific appearance matters to your idea.
Choose a sharp portrait or upper-body photo with one person in the frame. A clear view of the face, hair and clothing gives the model more visual information than a distant image. Soft, even light is usually easier to read than deep shadows or strong backlighting.
Avoid faces covered by sunglasses, masks, hair or motion blur. Try to use photos with similar framing so one person is not represented by a close-up while another is a tiny figure in the distance. The photos do not need matching backgrounds: the video reference supplies the performance setting.
If a face changes, a person appears in the wrong position or an outfit looks different, check the slot order and try a clearer photo. AI video can still vary with good inputs, and every new generation uses credits.
A group of friends, a family gathering or a team of coworkers can each make the same format feel personal. Decide together who belongs in the group shot and who should appear later, then gather five separate photos with permission. Everyday clothes can make an unexpected concert cast more recognizable to the people who know them.
Before posting, watch the whole result and check that each person is comfortable with how they appear. Label the clip as AI-generated where appropriate, and check the sharing platform’s rules for music and likeness. The reference shown on this page is a trend clip, not an example generated from customer photos on EaseGen.
You need to sign in and have enough EaseGen credits to generate a Tiny Desk Outstanding AI video. The amount depends on your selected settings and is displayed before you start. Uploading and reviewing the example is not the same as completing a free generation.
Eligible new accounts may receive 20 signup credits, subject to daily availability. Check the displayed cost and your balance to see whether those credits cover your chosen video; otherwise, additional credits are needed. If you change the resolution, review the updated cost before generating.
